The preliminary cause of the crash appears to be the pedestrian’s failure to yield right of way to a vehicle when not in a crosswalk, according to Anne Arundel Police. Neither alcohol nor speed appears to be a factor in the crash.

The Traffic Safety Section is handling the investigation and will be consulting with the State’s Attorney’s Office regarding any charges.
