After obtaining a search warrant, officers went through the residence and found two handguns in a furnace closet. One of guns had been reported stolen during a burglary in North Carolina in January 2013. As a result of the recovered stolen handgun, additional charges have been filed against Gilmore.
Police say Gilmore resisted as they attempted to arrest him. He was charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
