Severn Mechanic Dies After Being Trapped Under Vehicle
The jack supporting a vehicle failed and mechanic Robert Wolf was pinned under the vehicle.

A Severn mechanic died Friday afternoon when he was pinned under a vehicle he was working on at an Eldersburg repair shop.
Police were called to Car Finders at about 4:15 p.m. to find Robert Edward Wolf, 65, of Severn, trapped under a vehicle, according to a news release from the Maryland State Police Westminster Barrack.
Wolf had been working beneath the vehicle when the jack stand on the passenger’s side dislodged and the vehicle fell on top of him, according to the Carroll County Times.

Authorities said emergency medical services personnel responded, but Wolf was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:22 p.m.
Police say the incident appeared to be a workplace accident. The investigation is continuing, with assistance from the Maryland Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
