Sign Up Under Way for One Mile Challenge

The Annapolis Police Department will give prizes for best costumes as well as best times in this fun run to benefit Special Olympics MD.

Join the Annapolis Police Department at the City Dock Oct. 4 for the fifth annual One Mile Challenge to benefit Special Olympics Maryland.

The race begins at 9 a.m.

Here’s the route for the one-mile course: Start on Randall Street at Dock Street, continue on Randall Street to King George Steet, up King George Street to College Avenue, then make a left onto College Avenue to Church Circle and then around Church Circle to Main Street, ending on Randall Street at the start location.

Register for the race online at www.annapolis1mile.com. Registration is $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under.

Create a team and challenge others to a friendly competition. Costumes are encouraged and awards will be given to the best individual and group costumes, as well as fastest overall, male, female, and more.
