Truck Strikes, Kills Glen Burnie Man Crossing The Road
A 35-year-old Glen Burnie man was hit and killed by the driver of a pickup truck Oct. 10 while crossing the road.
GLEN BURNIE, MD — A 35-year-old Glen Burnie man was hit and killed while crossing 8th Avenue Northwest near Grayburn Drive on Oct. 10 at approximately 6 p.m. A 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was eastbound and struck Joshua Albert Strong of Glen Burnie, killing him.
According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, the primary cause of the crash appears to be pedestrian error, but speed may have contributed to the crash. The truck's driver, 42-year-old Norman Vernon Faulkner of Severn, remained on the scene. The Traffic Safety Section is handing the crash investigation.
