As a candidate for Prince George’s County Council, District 4, Juliet Agocha, believes that economic development should strengthen communities, not compromise them. While she supports business investment and job creation, she also believes that growth must be guided by the voices and priorities of local residents.

After listening to community members across District 4, Dr. Agocha recognizes the significant concerns surrounding proposed data center development. Residents have raised important questions about environmental impacts, increased energy and water consumption, traffic congestion, infrastructure strain, noise pollution, and the potential effect on property values and neighborhood quality of life.

Juliet Agocha respects these concerns and believes they deserve careful consideration. For this reason, she opposes data center development in Prince George’s County communities where the costs to residents outweigh the benefits.

Her position is not anti-business; it is pro-community. She is committed to pursuing other smart, sustainable economic opportunities that create jobs, expand the tax base, and support local businesses while protecting neighborhoods, preserving environmental resources, and maintaining the quality of life residents deserve.

When Elected As Councilwoman, Juliet Agocha will continue to work collaboratively with residents, business leaders, and stakeholders to identify responsible development strategies that promote long-term prosperity without sacrificing the health and well-being of our communities.
