• NASA's Maryland-Built Roman Space Telescope Launches To Explore Hidden Universe (thebaynet.com) — Greenbelt's NASA Goddard campus is at the heart of the new Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, which was built, tested, and is now operated from the Greenbelt facility. The mission, launched ahead of schedule, will study dark energy, exoplanets, and billions of galaxies while streaming huge amounts of data back through Greenbelt for scientists and the public to explore.
   

• NASA rocket takes first multi-point look inside radio-disrupting clouds (lakeconews.com) — A NASA-led team, including a researcher from Goddard in Greenbelt, used a sounding rocket and deployable probes to get the first multi-point look inside radio-disrupting sporadic E layers. Their findings show these metallic clouds are far more complex and turbulent than once thought, helping improve understanding of how they interfere with GPS, aviation, and other radio communications.
   

• Former Federal Union President Convicted in $1 Million Fraud Scheme (townhall.com) — A federal jury in Greenbelt convicted a former federal union president for a years-long, $1 million fraud and money laundering scheme involving National Institutes of Health employee grievance funds. Prosecutors say she funneled settlement money through a sham consulting firm and personal purchases, leaving the union broke and in receivership by 2022.
