$400 Stolen, Shoplifting Arrest, Knife Pulled: HdG Police Blotter

Two cases of shoplifting and other crimes were reported this week, according to the Havre de Grace Police Department.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — The Havre de Grace Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Two women were accused of shoplifting at 7-Eleven in the 500 block of North Union Avenue. They went into the store after 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 26, and police said one took a USB charger and long cable before they both left. The estimated loss was $33. The investigation continues.

A purse containing $400 was stolen from the 500 block of Adams Street. Also in the black leather purse were a SNAP card and driver's license. The theft was reported after 8:15 a.m. on Aug. 26. There are no suspects.

Police said a Bel Air woman was arrested for taking a Galaxy phone charger and power bank from a store in the 400 block of South Juniata Street. She ran through a back parking lot after 9 a.m. on Aug. 25 in an attempt to get away but was unsuccessful. The total value of the theft was less than $100. The woman, from the 900 block of Glenangus Drive, was issued a criminal citation.

An argument involving a knife is under investigation. Two men who had exchanged "words" with one another on a previous occasion got into a dispute in the 900 block of Pulaski Highway. They were arguing after 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 24 when one of them allegedly brandished a knife. Nobody was injured.

A 33-year-old Aberdeen woman was cited for driving on a suspended license after midnight on Aug. 22. She was driving a white Ford F150 on Lewis Lane at Pulaski Highway.

A 31-year-old Havre de Grace man was arrested for disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace on Seneca Way. The call about the man, who lives in the 400 block of Congress Avenue, came in before 6:15 p.m. on Aug. 18. He was cited and released.
