Authorities say the driver who led a police chase from Aberdeen to Havre de Grace was found with guns and 9,000-plus rounds of ammo.
ABERDEEN, MD — Two men are in custody after a failed traffic stop that police said led officers to a trove of weapons and ammunition in an Aberdeen home. It began when Aberdeen Police pulled over a 2004 Mercedes Benz Wednesday night, and ended with the arrest of the driver and his roommate after SWAT officers served a warrant at their home in Aberdeen Thursday morning, officials said.
A few minutes after being pulled over in Aberdeen at 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday, police said the driver of the 2004 Mercedes Benz drove away from Center Deen Avenue, while in the midst of a traffic stop.
Brandon Tyre Jones, 37, of New County Road, allegedly gave chase until police caught up to and arrested him on US 40 at Revolution Street in Havre de Grace.
