Cal Ripken Jr. Marries Judge
The Baltimore Orioles Hall of Famer has reportedly remarried and filed a lawsuit, all in the same week.
ANNAPOLIS, MD — It's official. Orioles legend Cal Ripken Jr. has remarried.
The "Iron Man"— best known for playing a record 2,632 consecutive games with the Baltimore Orioles — had been married to Kelly Ripken for approximately 30 years when they divorced in spring 2016.
Over the weekend, the 58-year-old married Laura Kiessling, 54, according to CBS Baltimore.

Kiessling, who is a judge in Anne Arundel County, officially changed her name as it appears on the Circuit Court website.
Now her title appears as "Hon. Laura S. Ripken, 5th Judicial Court, Administrative Judge."

She worked for the Anne Arundel County State's Attorney's Office from 1995 to 2010 before she became an administrative judge. She has her juris doctor from the Columbus School of Law at Catholic University of America, in Washington, D.C., and graduated from Lehigh University in 1986.
Cal Ripken Jr., who was born in Havre de Grace and raised in Aberdeen, played shortstop and third base for Orioles from 1981 to 2001. Ripken was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2007 in his first year of eligibility.
Since leaving baseball, he has focused his efforts on Ripken Baseball Inc. and the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation.
After getting divorced, Ripken listed his baseball-themed estate in Reisterstown for $12.5 million, and in May, it sold at auction to Orioles centerfielder Adam Jones.
The Hall of Famer had been dating the judge for more than a year, and he moved to Annapolis a year ago, according to The Capital.
It was a big week for the Iron Man. In addition to getting married, he reportedly filed a lawsuit against the city of Aberdeen.
On Thursday, the organization that represents the Ripken family's interest in the Aberdeen IronBirds — Tufton Baseball — sued the city of Aberdeen for a breach of contract for allegedly failing to keep up with capital maintenance and improvements to the minor league baseball team's stadium, compromising the safety of the players and attendees of events there.
