UPDATE: Havre de Grace Ice Rink Opens Friday

Who's ready to take a spin at Havre de Grace's new ice skating rink?

The newest attraction in Havre de Grace will be unveiled on Friday, Dec. 18.

The Havre de Grace Ice Rink will have its first official visitors during an open skate Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.

The rink at Hutchins Park is located at the foot of Congress Avenue and will be run by a different nonprofit group each week, which will provide vending options.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 13 years old. Skate rentals are $5.

Proceeds will go to those organizations that volunteer. Also supporting the rink are APGFCU and Visit Harford!

“Bundle up and bring your family and friends to Hutchins Park to support our local nonprofits while enjoying the tradition of holiday skating along our beautiful waterfront in Havre de Grace,” Havre de Grace Mayor Bill Martin said in a statement.

The rink will be open from 4 to 8 p.m. on select days from Dec. 18 to Feb. 28, at Hutchins Park on Congress Avenue. There may be a “late skate” from 8 to 10 p.m. on weekends; on New Year’s Eve, the rink will offer a night skate from 8 to 10 p.m. before the annual Duck Drop.
