Become a Court Appointed Special Advocate for a child in need

CASA of Baltimore County seeks volunteers to become Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs). There are currently over 600 children in Baltimore County that have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. CASAs are appointed to ensure these children's needs are understood, and advocate for their placement in safe and permanent homes. Our volunteers are not required to be social workers or lawyers- just concerned citizens with a desire to make a difference. All volunteers receive training, and are supported by our knowledgeable and dedicated staff. CASAs are expected to meet with their child at least once per month, and attend hearings once every six months.

Our vision is that each child involved in abuse and neglect proceedings that needs a CASA volunteer will have one available. Please consider helping us achieve this vision, and ensure that our most vulnerable children feel safe, comforted and secure.

If you have five to ten hours per month of time to spare, you can make a huge  difference in the life of a child in need.
