Business Volunteers Unlimited Maryland Accepting Applications for 2013 GIVE Class

Business Volunteers Unlimited Maryland (BVU) is now accepting applications for the 2013 GIVE Program. The program is a cohort experience that encourages young professionals between the ages of 25 and 40 to make a meaningful difference in Baltimore through civic engagement, community building and leadership development.

GIVE is a ten-month program that begins in February and ends in November. The core components of the program include monthly learning seminars, volunteer opportunities and networking events that enhance personal and professional development. There is also a class project component that is designed to strengthen leadership skills such as project planning, decision making and collaboration.

BVU’s GIVE program was launched by Business Volunteers Unlimited Maryland in 2009, and has “graduated” over 100 young professionals who are now active as volunteers and/or board members with many local nonprofits.
