Bikram Yoga Student to Compete in National Competition

After placing second in the Mid-Atlantic Yoga Championship, Westminster resident Edward Hall will be competing in the USA Yoga Asana Championship on March 5-6 in Los Angeles. He does most of his training at Bikram Yoga Baltimore in Cockeysville.

“I have been only practicing yoga for two years and can’t believe I have this opportunity,” Hall said. “All of my teachers have been a tremendous help in preparing and motivating me.”

Hall works as a personal trainer at Baltimore Fitness and Tennis. He is a graduate of Carroll Community College and Liberty High School in Carroll County.

The USA Yoga Asana Championship attracts competitors from across the nation and is part of a larger initiative to portray yoga as a competitive sport. In fact, yoga is up for consideration as a 2016 Summer Olympic sport.
