Cockeysville Apartment Building Evacuated for Reported Odor

Cleaning agents cleared out building for several hours Wednesday, fire department reported.

An apartment building was evacuated, and more than a dozen people evaluated for respiratory symptoms Thursday after an odor was reported in Cockeysville, officials said.

The misuse of household cleaners caused the smell, which a person in the building in the unit block of Snowdrift Court first noticed in the hallway, according to Baltimore County fire officials.

Residents at Cranbrook Hills Apartments had started choking at the apartment complex after noticing something that smelled like coffee, WJZ reported.
