Family Night with Sherrie Silent Auction and Dinner

St. John's Lutheran Church, located at 13300 Manor Road, Glen Arm, MD 21057, is hosting a fundraiser for Sherrie Walters, the local woman recently seen on national news for the groundbreaking ear transplant she received at Johns Hopkings University. Doctors "grew" a new ear in Sherrie's arm and then transplanted it back to it's normal location.

Because this procedure was considered experimental, most of the costs of this were not covered by her insurance leaving the family facing mounting medical bills. To try to help, St. John's Lutheran Church is hosting a fundraiser for Sherrie.

Tickets are $10 each and may be obtained by contacting Nancy Hobbs at: nahobbs1@verizon.net or 410.241.8679.
