GET OUT: Celebrate the Fourth of July

A guide for the weekend ahead.

Where/When: High and Stiles Street, July 1, 7 p.m.

Why Go: Grab a bottle of wine, a cannoli from a nearby restaurant, and check out the Italian-themed film 'Moonstruck' with friends. Live music starts at 7 p.m., and the film starts at 9 p.m.

2. African-American Festival 

Where/When: M&T Bank Stadium, July 2, noon to 10 p.m.; July 3, noon to 9 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy food vendors and live entertainment at a festival that celebrates black culture.

3. Dundalk Heritage Festival 

Where/When: Heritage Park, June 1-4

Why Go: A long weekend of family friendly activities including pig races, a performance by Eddie Money, a Fourth of July parade and fireworks. 

Pricing: $5

 

 4. Ports of America Chesapeake Fourth of July Celebration 

Where/When: Inner Harbor, July 4, 4 p.m.

Why Go: Celebrate the Fourth of July with a music and fireworks show. The Pennsylvania Air National Guard Band and the Electrical Brigade will provide the tunes.

5. Star-Spangled Spectacular 

Where/When: Oregon Ridge Nature Center, June 2-3, 8 p.m.  

Why Go: Bring a picnic basket and blanket and and enjoy the fireworks show as you listen to the music of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
