2.  Parents Survival Night 

Where/When: The Little Gym of Hunt Valley, March 11, 6 p.m.-9:30 p.m.

Why Go: Drop off the kids at The Little Gym Of Hunt Valley for several hours of games, obstacle courses, crafts and pizza.  Kids love to explore the gymnastic equipment and will be under the supervision of friendly CPR and First Aid certified instructors. Ages 3-10.

Price: $34 non-members, $40 members, reservations required

3.  The Emperor's Nightingale 

Where/When: St. Timothy's School, March 12, 1 p.m.-3 p.m.

Why Go: Based on the Hans Christian Andersen tale, this version is set in China.What is a sweetly singing nightingale to do when the Emperor's attentions have been detracted by a mechanical songbird? Ages 2 and up.

Price: Tickets $14

4.  Family Flight 

Where/When: Load of Fun, March 12, 2:30 p.m.-4 p.m.

Why Go: Using low flying trapezes and swinging steel objects, Family Flight will feature aerial improvisations and circus skills for the entire family to learn and enjoy.  Ages 5 to 13.

Price:  Reservations required, $115 per person

5.  Quilt Expo 2011 

Where/When: Goucher College Sports and Recreational Center, March 12-13, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Why Go: Check out a display of 250 quilts, a Bernina sewing machine raffle, techniques demos and a quilt raffle.  

Price: $7, $5 each for groups of five or more
