Head-On Car Collision Sends Woman to Hospital

A woman was sent to a Baltimore City hospital with serious injuries after her car collided with another vehicle Thursday afternoon.

A Dodge Caravan and a tan Acura collided near the intersection of York and Thornton Mill roads in Sparks, Baltimore County police spokeswoman Louis Rogers-Fehrer said. 

Police said the driver of the Caravan refused treatment, but the unidentified woman driving the Acura was taken to Sinai Hospital in Baltimore for serious injuries.

Police responded to the scene of the accident at 2:12 p.m. They had to pry open the doors of both vehicles to free the drivers, Rogers-Fehrer said.
