UPDATE: Police Charge Man After Crash at Gas Station
Problems began after the suspect was kicked out of a Timonium bar.
UPDATE (1:15 P.M.)– Baltimore County police arrested 37-year-old Wilmon Benson IV of Edina, MN after he crashed into a in Hunt Valley, police said.
Police charged Benson with two counts of second-degree assault, disorderly conduct and other traffic charges. His bail was set at $75,000.
Benson is being held at the Baltimore County detention center while he awaits his bail review later Friday.

Police arrested Benson early Thursday on charges that he tried to break into a bar, sped excessively up York Road, crashed into a gas station and ran to the Hunt Valley light rail station, police said. They also said they do not know why Benson is in the area.
Police said problems with Benson started just before 2 a.m. when he was kicked out of , a bar in Timonium, at closing time. Shortly after, the bar reported an attempted break-in to police.

As police responded, a dark-colored minivan being driven by a man who matched Benson's description, pulled up next to an officer in the area. After honking the horn and making an obscene gesture at the officer, the driver of the van made a U-turn and sped off northbound on York Road.
Responding officers saw the van speeding and committing other traffic violations. The van quickly sped out of sight, police said.
One officer came upon the minivan after it had crashed into a at the intersection of Shawan and York roads in Hunt Valley. Police said Benson had fled by the time the officer arrived.
A witness' description of the driver matched one provided during an earlier call.
Air and K9 units responded to assist police in their search. Benson was found and arrested at the Hunt Valley light rail station 40 minutes after the accident. Charges are pending.
