UPDATE: Man Flown to Hospital After Truck Strikes Telephone Pole
Power lines were also knocked down and may cause traffic delays.

(Update 5:15 p.m.)— A man who was in a pick-up truck that crashed into a telephone pole in Parkton sustained serious injuries, Baltimore County police said.
Crews have shut down Mount Carmel and Pretty Boy Dam roads to clear out power lines that fell when the telephone pole collapsed. Police expect the roads to remain closed for another four hours.

(Original)—A man was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma Center Thursday afternoon after a red pick-up truck crashed into a telephone pole in Parkton, Baltimore County police said.
The telephone pole collapsed, causing power lines to come down, police spokeswoman Louise Rogers-Feher said.

Rogers-Feher also said the fallen power lines will likely cause delays around the scene of the accident, located near the intersection of Mount Carmel and Pretty Boy Dam roads.
Police responded to the scene at around 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
