PHOTOS: Concert Nights in Hunt Valley

Locals celebrate the beginning of the weekend with Friday night concerts at the Hunt Valley Towne Center.

Hunt Valley Towne Center continued its popular Friday Night Concert Series this weekend.

With patrons arriving almost an hour early to snag the best spots for their portable chairs, it was a scene of relaxed enthusiasm.

Barbara Walls and her son Martin Walls were settled comfortably on lawn chairs in the back of their truck, enjoying a meal from Chik-fil-a.

"We just started coming and had such a good time last week, we came back," Walls said.

Joe and Sue Markowitz enjoyed the performance from under a shady tree.

"They're really very good," Joe Markowitz said of the band about to play. “Our son is playing in the band 'The Bridge' on August 12 at the Towne Centre."

Area residents ranging from toddlers to senior citizens borrowed folding chairs from a kiosk, and sat in the garden courtyard to listen the band Millennium. One of the vocalists, Travis Tucker, competed on American Idol. 

Chino Diaz and his wife Bonita Diaz are regulars at the summer concert series.

"We come here every week, for the last four or five years," Bonita Diaz said. .

The Friday night concerts begin at 7:30p.m.,  and the series runs weekly until September 30.
