PHOTOS: Creative Kids Centers Raise Funds at Autumn Auction

This event was the program's first major fundraiser.

The hosted the Autumn Art Auction, their first major fundraiser, on Thursday evening at the .

The auction featured sports memorabilia, work from Baltimore-area artists and pieces from Creative Kids participants.

"We're trying to raise funds so we can keep our program going," said Jennie Fumarol, director of the . "It's especially important in a time when everyone is cutting back."

, one of the founding members of the Creative Kids program, spoke a few words at the event.

"Many of these kids reflect upon their time at the center and they say it helped straighten them out," Johnson said.

Creative Kids has location in Cockeysville, Essex and Loch Raven.
