Business Volunteers Maryland begins its 10th anniversary celebration with skillsIMPACT 2013, a skills-based volunteering and networking event. The event will feature introductions to 40 local nonprofits and offers the opportunity for volunteers to network with like-minded professionals. The program will include remarks from Aaron Hurst, President and Founder of Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit organization that makes business talent available to organizations working to improve society. Hurst is a widely recognized social entrepreneur and authority on social innovation and public/private partnerships.
Participation in skillsIMPACT 2013 is $10. All proceeds support Business Volunteers, the nonprofit organization encouraging and coordinating volunteer experiences for area residents and businesses. Light fare and cocktails are included in your ticket price.
