Baltimore Sun: Yeardley Love's Lacrosse Number Retired at Sunday Ceremony

Supporters presented family with commemorative jersey.

The University of Virginia honored slain Cockeysville lacrosse player Yeardley Love in a ceremony retiring her No. 1 jersey.

The program was held prior to the March 6 women's lacrosse game. Teammates, family and supporters were in attendance.

Love, 22, a former student at Notre Dame Prep, was found dead in her Charlottesville, VA apartment last May.

Fellow lacrosse player and ex-boyfriend George Huguely is charged with her murder.
