White Hall Couple Finds Bullet Hole in Baby's Bedroom
A stray bullet somehow made it through a mile of dense woods and into a baby's bedroom.

Last Tuesday, a local couple went into their 11-month-old son’s room and discovered shattered wood and glass on the floor, two holes in the window—and a rifle bullet inches from the baby’s crib, WBAL-TV reported.
“To see something like that is really, really scary,” Mike Harris said. “I know for a while [my wife] didn’t want him to actually sleep in this room anymore.”
After a week of wondering and worrying, Mike and Jodi Harris of White Hall finally found out how the bullet got there: A neighbor admitted he accidentally fired a bad shot in his backyard during target practice, Baltimore County detectives said.

The bullet somehow made it through a mile of dense woods and into the baby’s nursery.
“It was so close to where I rock my son to sleep every night,” Jodi Harris said. “My worst fear was that it could happen again when we’re sitting there.”

Police said they won’t charge the shooter because target practice is legal in the area.
“We just hope that everybody does it responsibly and safely so that something like this doesn’t happen,” Jodi Harris said. “The results could have been a lot worse.”
