Celebrate the magic of the season at our annual December family event at the Publick Playhouse! Gather with friends, neighbors, and community for a festive day designed for young children. Kids can meet and take photos with Santa, enjoy holiday crafts, snacks, and coloring, and cozy up for a screening of the animated short The Smurfs: A Christmas Carol. The fun continues with a family favorite feature film, The Grinch. It’s the perfect way to create warm holiday memories together in a welcoming, joyful setting.  Please note, everyone must have a ticket to enter, regardless of age. Whether you’re an emerging or experienced choreographer, the M-NCPPC Arts and Cultural Heritage Division is seeking talented choreographers to audition for a chance to showcase choreography at the 43rd Annual Choreographers’ Showcase at the Publick Playhouse on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026, at 7 pm. To audition, choreographers can opt to submit an audition video or schedule an in-person audition for an adjudication panel. In-person auditions are by appointment only—reserve your spot today!

In this brand-new hour of sketch comedy, Bad Medicine takes aim at the people, institutions, and ideas that have become larger than life. From political landmarks and crumbling infrastructure to cultural icons and everyday institutions that somehow refuse to die, nothing is too sacred or too structurally unsound.
