• Transit Briefs: Amtrak, WMATA, Metra (railwayage.com) — WMATA will hold a public hearing on Sept. 17 at its New Carrollton Office Building in Hyattsville about a major new training center planned for nearby Landover. Hyattsville residents can attend in person or online and submit comments through Sept. 28, helping shape how Metro trains operators, bus drivers, and transit police for the region.
