• Two men charged with murder after 33-year-old found shot dead behind wheel in Hyattsville (shorenewsnetwork.com) — A 33-year-old man was found fatally shot in his vehicle on Lewisdale Drive in the Hyattsville area, and two men, including one from Hyattsville, now face first- and second-degree murder charges. Prince George's County police say there's no known connection between the suspects and victim, and they're asking anyone with information about the early-morning Sept. 6 shooting to come forward.
   

• Izzy Wondwossen: Missing Howard Senior Found Safe After Five Days (balleralert.com) — A Hyattsville-based nonprofit, the Black and Missing Foundation, helped amplify the search for Howard University senior Izzy Wondwossen, who vanished during her Metro commute but was found safe five days later. While her family and volunteers canvassed Arlington and Alexandria, the group's social media push and student support kept attention on the case as police worked to locate her.
   

• Hyattsville Residents Organizing Against Flock Cameras (hyattsvillewire.com) — Hyattsville residents are mobilizing to end the city's contract for Flock automated license-plate readers, arguing the cameras threaten privacy and can be abused. Activists with DeFlock HVL have already confronted the city council and are planning more organizing through flyers, online explainers, and a private email list as they push for changes to local policing technology.
