Are You Still Hearing Fireworks in Your Neighborhood?
Despite online complaint, MCPD has received few calls about violations.

As you well know, fireworks are illegal throughout Montgomery County, but one Kensington resident said she has continued to hear blasts at night well after the Fourth.
“The fireworks started at least two weeks before the July 4 weekend and have continued at least one or two times a week since then,” Mindy Burke told WashingtonPost.com.
We asked Montgomery County Police about any calls in the area related to fireworks, and the department only reported one outside the holiday weekend: a July 15 call at Glenrose Street and Summit Avenue.
