- After the Taliban took over amid the withdrawal of U.S. troops, thousands of Afghans are leaving their country and fleeing to the United States — some to Maryland. De Francis Memorial Dash (G3). (Horse Racing Nation)
- Adobe, a Fortune 500 technology company, recently announced a $1 million donation to Bowie State University as an inaugural member of the Adobe Anchor School Program.
