• Transit Briefs: TEXRail, MARC (railwayage.com) — Laurel commuters now have a faster MARC option, with new express service directly linking the city to Baltimore and Montgomery County without a Washington transfer, cutting some trips nearly in half. The weekday run-through train connects Laurel with Silver Spring, College Park, Germantown, Gaithersburg, and more, and riders get a $2 promotional discount for the first six months.
