*Note, this event will officially start at 7:30 p.m., with bus shuttles starting at 7 p.m. Montgomery County officials announced Tuesday that the event will shift by 30 minutes due to the severe heat forecast for the region.
Officials host the annual "Germantown Glory" fireworks display at the South Germantown Recreational Park in Boyds from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The celebration will include live music featuring the Central City Orchestra. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m., unless weather conditions prompt a delay.
County organizers say lawn chairs, blankets and coolers are welcome, and that food vendors will be at the location.
No pets, alcoholic beverages, or smoking are permitted.
