Montgomery Village Homicide: Fourth Suspect Arrested
Police arrested a fourth man for the murder of Wassi Harron Raheem Young, 20, in Montgomery Village, police said.

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, MD — Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department Major Crimes Division arrested a fourth suspect for the February 10 homicide of 20-year-old Wassi Harron Raheem Young from Hyattsville, police announced Friday.
Police arrested Shiloh Young, 18, of Baltimore at his residence on the strength of a Montgomery County arrest warrant Wednesday, April 5, police told Patch.
On the afternoon of February 10, police received multiple 911 calls regarding a shooting that had just occurred in the 8500 block of Hawk Run Terrace in Montgomery Village, police said.

Officers responded to the area and located Young in the parking lot of the neighborhood suffering from a gunshot wound. Young was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police arrested three additional men involved in the murder on March 9 — Samuel Fayomi Brown, 20, of Hyattsville; Tierek Ty Jay Thomas, 20, of DC and Davion Antonio Foster, 20, of Southeast, DC.


During the on-scene investigation, detectives learned that a 23-year-old male had arrived at a local hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Investigators spoke with this man and determined that he was shot during the same incident in which the homicide victim, Young, was shot, police said.
Major Crimes detectives have determined that Young, Foster, Brown, Thomas and Young wanted to rob a drug seller. The suspects, together at a residence on Hawk Run Terrace, called various people that they knew sold drugs. police said.
Young contacted a seller who agreed to drive to the area of Hawk Run Terrace and sell them marijuana. This person was later identified as the 23-year-old male who arrived at the local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.
The seller drove to the 8500 block of Hawk Run Terrace and parked his vehicle. Young, Foster, Brown and Thomas encountered the seller and attempted to rob him at gunpoint, police said.
Shots were fired and Young and the seller were shot, police said.
After the shooting, all parties fled while Young succumbed to his injuries in the neighborhood parking lot.
Brown and Thomas were charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery, police said. Foster is charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, armed robbery, and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
Young was charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery, police said. He was also charged with armed robbery, first-degree assault and theft offenses related to a March 1 armed robbery that occurred in the area of Wheelwright Drive and Buhrstone Drive in Gaithersburg, police said.
Young is currently being held without bond.
