• Statement From Councilmember Will Jawando Regarding the Office of the Inspector General's Investigation of Alleged Misconduct by a Montgomery County Police Department Executive (montgomerycountymd.gov) — Montgomery Village residents should know a Montgomery County Police Department executive was found by the county's Inspector General to have violated county code and department policy, including unapproved absences and issues around selecting a relative for a conference. Councilmember Will Jawando says he's disappointed, supports stronger internal controls, and stresses that most MCPD officers serve honorably and deserve accountable leadership.
