Police: Chevy Chase Boy Sexually Abused by Karate Teacher
The former D.C. and Montgomery County karate teacher also taught in Prince George's County Public Schools, police say.

A man who taught karate in Washington, D.C., tutored students in Montgomery County and taught in Prince George’s County Public Schools has been charged with sexually abusing a student.
Montgomery County Police say Jorge Raul Allica, also known as George Paul Allica, 56, of the 3700 block of 13th Street NE in Washington D.C., was arrested Jan. 29 by detectives from the Special Victims Investigations Division and charged with multiple counts of sexual offenses.
Authorities believe their investigation has led to a second victim, and ask anyone with information about offenses Allica may have committed to contact Montgomery County Police.

The investigation into Allica began Sept. 18, 2014, when police learned a former karate student of Allica’s at the Aikido Dojo of Washington, D.C., was repeatedly victimized for 10 years, between 1984 and 1994. Allica engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with the male victim, who was a minor for most of the time period, police allege.
Allica tutored and coached the victim in another sport and an academic subject, as well. The incidents occurred when the suspect live in the 8600 block of Flower Avenue in Silver Spring, as well as the victim’s Chevy Chase home.

Another possible victim was identified during the investigation, and detectives believe there could be more victims who have not come forward.
Allica was an instructor at the Aikido Shobuken Dojo of Washington, D.C., on Butternut Street in the District from 1983 through 1994. He was a teacher at Andrew Jackson Middle School in Forestville in the Prince George’s County Public Schools system between 1989 through 1991, police say.
For roughly the last 15 years, Allica has been worked as a landscaper.
