Reward Offered in Deadly Assault of 60-Year-Old

Montgomery County Police believe someone saw the attack on a Montgomery Village street. Tipsters can remain anonymous.

A $10,000 reward is being offered for tips that lead to the arrest of a man suspected of inflicting head injuries so serious that a Montgomery Village man later died.

Montgomery County Police say the victim, identified as Bradley Colmes, 60, of the 10300 block of Ridgeline Drive, was assaulted on June 12 as he was walking on the street.

Police say Colmes suffered head and face injuries. He was taken to a local trauma center for treatment; he died on June 17. The Medical Examiner has ruled the death a homicide.

The suspect is only described as a black man.

Detectives believe that people witnessed the assault and are urging witnesses to contact the police department.
