Sobriety Checkpoint Planned for Friday Night

Line up a designated driver if you plan to go out for drinks tonight.

The Montgomery County Police Department will hold a sobriety checkpoint on Friday, April 3, from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. Saturday.

The exact location of the checkpoint will not be disclosed in advance. The times of the checkpoint are approximate and the checkpoint can be cancelled if there is inclement weather.

The penalties for a DUI or DWI in Maryland consist of potential jail time, fines, and a minimum of a 6-month license suspension.
