• 'Minicity' outside DC kicks off after long wait (costar.com) — A massive new “minicity” called Konterra is finally breaking ground between D.C. and Baltimore, and its developers explicitly compare its downtown to National Harbor’s mix of hospitality and retail. The 1,400-acre project will feature homes, offices, hotels, trails, and parks, reinforcing National Harbor’s role as a model waterfront destination and economic anchor for Maryland as similar mixed-use hubs emerge nearby.
