Baltimore City Fire Department Mourns Loss Of 33-Year-Old Fireman
The firefighter was based at the Hampden firehouse, located on Roland Avenue.
BALTIMORE, MD — Flags at Baltimore City fire stations will be lowered to honor the firefighter who died over the weekend. Andrew J. Douglas was 33, according to the Baltimore City Fire Department.
Douglas joined the fire service eight years ago and was a firefighter and EMT who rode on Engine 21, according to authorities. He was based at the Hampden firehouse on Roland Avenue.
He died on Sunday, Feb. 24, according to the Baltimore International Association of Firefighters Local 734.

Douglas died of a brain injury, WBAL reported.
The flags at Baltimore City firehouses will be lowered until sunset on the day of Douglas's funeral, which will be held on Friday, March 1.

The viewing will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, and Thursday, Feb. 28, at Ruck Funeral Home in Hamilton, 5309 Harford Road, Baltimore, MD 21214.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 1, at St. Ursula Church, 8900 Harford Road, Parkville, MD 21234. Fire department personnel should arrive at 9:30 a.m. for lineup.
Douglas will be buried at the Gardens of Faith, 5598 Trumps Mill Road, Rosedale, MD 21206.
There will be a wake hosted by the Baltimore Firefighters L-734 , Union Hall, 1202 Ridgeley Street, Baltimore, MD 21230.
