Crime Summary: Burglaries, Vehicle Thefts Reported

The following arrest information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction

District 1 (Rockville/Potomac)

A residential burglary was reported in the 11900 block of Gainsborough Road, Potomac, between 10:30 a.m. and 2:33 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23.  Forced entry; property taken.

A vehicle theft was reported in the 10300 block of Cavanaugh Court, Rockville between 10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24 and 6:45 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25.

A residential burglary was reported in the 11100 block of Lamplighter Lane, Potomac between Wednesday, Oct. 24 and Thursday, Oct. 31.  No forced entry; property taken.

District 5 (Germantown, surrounding region)

A sex offense was reported at the Germantown campus of Montgomery College at around noon Wednesday, Oct. 24, and Friday, Oct. 26. Police said the suspect exposed himself to the victim.

A strong-arm robbery was reported at the intersection of Wisteria Drive and Winterspoon Lane in Germantown on Wednesday, Oct. 24 around 5:25 p.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and obtained property.

Two commercial burglaries were reported to concession stands at Seneca Valley High School between 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, and 4:45 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26.  Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary was reported in the unit block of Brook Run Court in Germantown on Wednesday, Oct. 31 between 5 and 9 p.m.  No forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary was reported in the 20300 block of Foxwood Terrace in Germantown on Wednesday, Oct. 31, between 9 and 9:30 p.m.  No forced entry; property taken.                  

A residential burglary was reported in the 12400 block of Walnut Cove Circle in Germantown on Sunday, Oct. 28, between 9:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.  Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary was reported in the 18800 block of Sparking Water Drive in Germantown on Saturday, Oct. 27 around noon.  No forced entry; nothing taken.

 

District 6 (Gaithersburg, surrounding region)

An aggravated assault was reported in the 1000 block of West Side Drive in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, Oct. 30 around 5 p.m.  The suspect assaulted the victim with a weapon and was arrested. Arrested: Male, age 25, from Ashburn, VA.

An aggravated assault was reported in the unit block of Timber Rock Road in Gaithersburg on Friday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m.  The suspect assaulted the victim with a weapon. Arrested: Male, age 27, from Gaithersburg.

Three thefts from vehicles were reported on or near Still Creek Lane in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, Oct. 23, between midnight and 8 a.m.  No forced entry.  Cash, coins, a cell phone, and laptop were among the property reported stolen. 

A vehicle theft was reported at the Giant Food at 229 Kentlands Boulevard in Gaithersburg on Thursday, Oct. 25 between, 2:20 and 3 p.m.

A theft from vehicle was reported at the Giant Food at 229 Kentlands Boulevard in Gaithersburg on Monday, Oct. 29 between 1:45 pm and 2 p.m.  No forced entry; wallet and purse taken.
