Flood Warning, Tornado Watch Remain In Effect
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue warns residents to stay on alert through the day.

A flash flood warning is in effect for northwestern Montgomery County until 12:30 p.m. and a tornado watch remains in effect until 3 p.m. for Montgomery County, according to the National Weather Service.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue are warning residents to use extreme caution in areas prone to flooding.
In a press release, they identified several local roads that are often subject to flooding.

- MD 117 (Clopper Rd) at Gr. Seneca Creek
- MD 117 (Clopper Rd) at Little Seneca Creek
- MD 118 (Germantown Rd) at Great Seneca Creek
- River Rd and Berryville Rd at Seneca Creek
- White’s Ferry Road and River Road
The release also included the following safety tips if a flash flood should occur.
- If a flash flood warning is issued, act immediately.
- Know your location when driving.
- Never drive through a flooded road or bridge. Back up and try a different route.
- Stay on high ground.
- Six inches of water will cause a driver to loose control of the car; a food of water will float many vehicles; and two feet of water can carry away almost any vehicle.
