News crews from Metropolitan Washington television stations amassed outside the home of Gary Vincent Giordano on McDonald Chapel Drive Friday afternoon. , 35, of Frederick, Md. Reporters set up chairs and cameras next to their satellite vans along the street. They were waiting for a possible search of the home by the FBI, in the hopes of catching any activity inside and around the house. The home appeared to be empty. Giordano is still being detained in Aruba and apparently lived alone in the home since a divorce in 2008 from his second wife.

Memorial Day Weekend Event - Flags For Our Heroes 

A Giant Display of 756 American flags from Friday, May 22nd through Monday morning, May 25th
Formal inauguration May 23rd at 11:00 a.m., then a ceremony at the Peace Pole in the park. Unusable flag retirement ceremony conducted by local Scout troops on May 24th at dusk.
Free and open to the public, 24 hours a day (lighted at night). Accessible by wheelchair. 
Anyone can sponsor a flag to honor his or her “hero,” for $50. There are also sponsorship packages for businesses and organizations. Proceeds will be used by the Gaithersburg Rotary Foundation for local and international projects.
