Four burglaries reported in one afternoon

An illegal impersonation and four burglaries were reported in the area on Monday, Sept. 6 and Monday, Sept. 13, in the afternoon.  Angela Cruz, Montgomery County Police Department Media Relations Office Services Coordinator, said police will always look into a possible connection between reports in close proximity.  The police department has not released any information on a possible connection between these cases.

Here are the reported crimes for the week of Sept. 6 - Sept. 13:

-- An illegal impersonation was reported at Straw Bale Lane and White Water Way in Darnestown on Monday, Sept. 6 at 5:35 p.m.  Two hispanic males drove by the residence at low speed in a silver pickup truck with a New Mexico license plate.  The driver claimed to be a Secret Service contractor and the passenger claimed to be from Corrections.  Montgomery County Police are investigating.

-An adult female was arrested at KMart, located at 209 Kentlands Boulevard, on Monday, Sept. 13 at 1:16p.m. after a theft was reported.

-A bicycle was stolen from a private residence at the 16000 block of Orchard Grove Road on Monday, Sept. 13 at 5:44p.m. Police were called and a report was taken.

-A forceable attempt was reported at the 12000 block of Apple Knoll Court on Monday, Sept. 13 at 3:43 pm.  The suspect attempted to enter the residence through the garage.

-A miscellaneous larceny was reported at the 14400 block of Lake Winds Way on Monday, Sept. 13 at 1:27 p.m.
