The Montgomery County Department of Police released the crime summary for the period of June 20 to June 28 this past Thursday.   According to the summary, a residential burglary occurred in the 12600 block of High Meadow Road. There was forced entry and property was taken.   The burglary took place on Wednesday, June 22, some time between 7:10 a.m. and 6:20 p.m. There were no other burglaries reported in North Potomac or Darnestown for this time period.

Memorial Day Weekend Event - Flags For Our Heroes 

A Giant Display of 756 American flags from Friday, May 22nd through Monday morning, May 25th
Formal inauguration May 23rd at 11:00 a.m., then a ceremony at the Peace Pole in the park. Unusable flag retirement ceremony conducted by local Scout troops on May 24th at dusk.
Free and open to the public, 24 hours a day (lighted at night). Accessible by wheelchair. 
Anyone can sponsor a flag to honor his or her “hero,” for $50. There are also sponsorship packages for businesses and organizations. Proceeds will be used by the Gaithersburg Rotary Foundation for local and international projects.
