Two suspects were arrested in a Severn shooting, police said. Officers charged the duo months after gunfire nearly hit a group of people.

SEVERN, MD — County police on Wednesday announced two arrests in a Severn shooting. The arrests came six months after officers said gunfire nearly hit a group exiting their car.
Authorities identified the arrestees as 18-year-old Rashard Dixon of Owings Mills and 23-year-old Taelur Thomas, who has addresses listed in Ft. Meade and Glen Burnie.
Officers said the shooting happened on April 3 around 9 p.m. in the 8200 block of Marlton Court.

Witnesses reported seeing four male suspects run away into the woods at the end of Marlton Court, officers said. Authorities searched the area, but they could not find the suspects.
Police said they collected several spent shell casings as evidence.
Detectives said they eventually identified and charged two suspects months later.
Along with nine misdemeanor charges, court records show that Thomas faces felony charges of:
- Two counts of attempted first-degree murder
- Two counts of attempted second-degree murder
- Two counts of first-degree assault
The court issued an arrest warrant for Thomas last Thursday, the documents said.
The records said authorities served that arrest warrant last Friday.
A judge decided Tuesday to hold Dixon without bond until his trial, the documents said.
Maryland's court database did not list the charges against Dixon as of this story's publication. It sometimes takes a few days for charges to show online.
