Alert Severn Resident IDs Would-Be Car Thieves: Police
A homeowner heard noises overnight and saw two men trying to steal a minivan, say Anne Arundel County Police.

An alert Severn resident awoke early Friday morning to the sounds of someone trying to steal their minivan.
Anne Arundel County Police were called 3:41 a.m. to Severn Orchard Circle.

The victims told police heard someone trying to start a vehicle and looked out the window. Two male suspects were seen getting out of the residents’ green minivan. Police say the suspects then left the area in a silver van.
When the victims checked their vehicle, they found damage that indicated the suspects attempted to steal it, police say.

A silver van matching the suspect vehicle description was stopped in the area. The victim
identified the two men in the van as the suspects they saw get out of their minivan. The suspects reportedly had stolen property in their possession, as well.
Suspects Damian Doncheaz Evans, 40, of Capitol Heights, and Todd Howard Davis, 30, of Washington, D.C., were arrested and charged with attempted theft of a vehicle, destruction of property, and theft.
