Armed Men In Stolen Car Arrested In Severn: Police Report

A driver and an armed passenger were arrested in Severn during a traffic stop. Weapons were found in the vehicle, which also was stolen.

SEVERN, MD — A man from Brooklyn has been arrested by Anne Arundel County police officers after a June 3 search of his vehicle yielded a loaded shotgun and a loaded handgun. There were four men in the vehicle; three ran and one was caught, the police department disclosed. The Severn man who was caught fleeing also had a loaded handgun in his possession, according to a police report.

The incident occurred shortly after 5 p.m. in the Stillmeadows community. Officers saw two vehicles traveling at a high rate of speed through the neighborhood on Jacobs Road. A silver Lincoln Town Car was stopped on Richfield Drive, which is when three of the passengers fled.

While on the scene, officers were notified that the silver Lincoln Town Car had been reported stolen out of Glen Burnie. Both the driver, 22-year-old Craig Troy Dobson of Brooklyn, and the armed passenger who was caught fleeing, 19-year-0ld Tyrese Teonni Lane of Severn, were arrested, the police report noted.
