Poncho N Pepe's in Crofton - With me being from Texas, I may not be a good judge on just okay, bland mexican food. Our waiter was friendly, but a little forgetful. However, the food was overpriced and frankly not good. Our party of seven had to ask for things such as water, stack dirty dishes to make room and getting the food took over an hour. The drinks are pricey and if you sit in the bar area, you get to sit with the staff while they eat and discuss their prior evening festivities. If you really want excellent mexican food, I would suggest driving a mile further and go to Mi Casita or drive to Aviation Blvd by BWI and go to Los Portales, it is less expensive and consistently great food!
Osaka Grill and Buffet in Crofton - I am usually not a "buffet type of person." People eating at the buffet bar while they are getting their food or parents allowing their 5 year old to have open access on their own makes me crazy. However, Osaka is one of the only buffets that I will go to with excitement! $10.99 for adults, you get fresh sushi made on the spot, Hibachi grill where the cooks are spinning their spatulas and 5 or more rows of buffet. The food is hot, fresh and the service is exceptional. If we can just get people to wait until they get to their table to partake in eating their food and explain to some parents that a 5 year old cannot slice a piece of cake,etc on their own, the buffet area would be perfect.
Charming Charlies in Annapolis - Ok ladies.. such a great store for costume type jewelry, purses, sundresses and hats.. The best thing is the excellent price tags! Everything is in color groups, so it makes it easy to search.. Don't forget to check out the clearance wall, really great deals!
