HANOVER, MD — For a second day in a row, smoke can be seen pouring forth from the Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. On Monday, Sept. 23, firefighters spent time training around the facility, officials said. More smoke could be seen Tuesday, Sept. 24, due to additional planned exercises that morning that were to end at approximately 10:30 a.m.

"There is no cause for alarm," BWI officials tweeted. "The BWI Fire and Rescue Squad is conducting a fire training exercise this morning."

Officials said Monday that smoke may be visible from the terminal and areas around the airport.
